The Hindustan Trekking Company is an independent adventure company based in the Kumaon region of the Grand Himalayas of India – specialising in holidays to the Indian and Nepalese Himalayas.

Our specialty is trekking and adventure holidays, including wildlife safaris and on location photographic workshops – a service we believe is unique to the Himalayas. We cater to a wide range of ages from children under-10 to the more mature travellers in their 60s – many of whom have enjoyed their first trekking adventure with us and have come back for more.

With extensive local knowledge and contacts, we are the ideal company to provide you with a high quality and secure experience in some of the world’s most beautiful and remote regions.

We are one of the very few companies that are part of and contribute directly to the welfare of our local region. As well as directly supporting local education programmes and sponsoring local school children, a percentage of our profits go to Arohi, a non-profit, grassroots organisation providing direct health, education and livelihood support to the peoples of the Central Himalayan region of Uttarakhand. We firmly believe that if you are preparing to invest your time and hard earned cash in the experience of a lifetime you do not want to leave anything to chance. We pride ourselves on our ability and reputation to ensure that you have the rewarding adventure you have set your heart on.

We have a singular focus on meeting your needs and concerns from the start to the end of your trip. When required, we take care of your travel requirements upon your arrival in India, as well as advising on the best clothing, training and preparation for your trip. And if you require specific dietary requirements during your trek, we’ll see to that as well.

Since started the company, the repeated feedback and return visits from clients – who tell us how exciting and eye opening their expedition was – has continued to grow. We believe that by leaving us to manage the details of your trip, you are left to enjoy the thrills of your Himalayan adventure.
